Safer Internet Day Assembly

10th Feb 2026

As part of our Safer Internet Day celebrations, our Digital Leaders delivered a bespoke presentation to the school community focusing on the theme “Smart tech, safe choices – Exploring the safe and responsible use of AI.”

They led pupils through thoughtful discussion and practical guidance on how to navigate emerging technologies safely and responsibly. This linked perfectly with our core value for the month, Respect, as we explored how respect can be demonstrated when using AI and the internet more widely. We discussed the importance of responsible communication, protecting privacy and using digital tools in ways that support others.

We were also delighted to celebrate our Réalt na Seachtaine winners, recognising their excellent achievements both in and beyond the classroom. Their hard work, attitude and commitment continue to make us proud.

In addition, Mrs Fegan presented prizes to our Accelerated Reader award winners, acknowledging their fantastic progress and dedication to reading. Each pupil received vouchers to help them choose new books to enjoy. A very well deserved recognition for their efforts.

As always, we brought our time together to a close with prayer and hymns.

Maith sibh ar fad!
