St Bronagh’s Recognised as an SEL Worldwide Model School
We are incredibly proud to share that we have been officially recognised as an SEL (Social and Emotional Learning) Worldwide Model School.
This international award celebrates the commitment of our whole school community in embedding the PATHS® Programme into daily life here at St Bronagh’s. More than just a weekly lesson, PATHS is a core part of how we help our páistí develop essential life skills such as emotional awareness, self-control empathy, and the ability to build strong, respectful relationships.
To achieve Model School status, we had to demonstrate that PATHS is not only taught regularly, but is also deeply embedded in the school’s ethos and culture, something that happens every day, in every classroom, in every interaction. This recognition is a tribute to the dedicated work of our múinteoirí and classroom assistants, and the strong partnership we share with our tuismitheoirí and wider community.
We would like to extend a massive thanks to Mr John Gallagher, our former school Principal, whose vision and leadership brought PATHS to St Bronagh’s. His legacy continues to shape the lives of our páistí and his impact is felt far beyond the walls of our school.
We are looking forward to the official award presentation later this school year, which will take place in Term 2 or Term 3 and will create a special opportunity for us all to come together and celebrate this recognition as a school family.
This award is a proud milestone in our journey. As we continue to grow and learn together, we remain committed to providing a safe, supportive, and emotionally enriching learning environment for all of our young people.
