Rostrevor Conservation Area Heritage Project

6th Mar 2026

There are a number of free community events taking place soon to celebrate the unique heritage of Rostrevor’s Conservation Area.

In particular, the Heritage Open Day on Saturday 14th March at Rostrevor Men’s Shed promises to be a wonderful family-friendly event, with a range of activities and experiences designed especially for children and families.

It offers an opportunity for our young people to learn more about the history, buildings and stories that shape the place they call home, providing a sense of belonging and pride in their local community.

As the Irish proverb reminds us, 'Níl aon tinteán mar do thinteán féin' - there’s no hearth like your own hearth, or simply, there’s no place like home. It highlights the importance of valuing the places and communities that mean the most to us.
