Primary Two Assembly and Réaltaí na Seachtaine

3rd Oct 2025

On Friday 3rd October, our school community came together for a very special assembly. We began by reflecting on a successful month of learning and celebrated the progress we have all made. Together, we prayed for everyone in our school, our local community and our wider world who may be suffering at this time. We asked the Holy Spirit to give us the courage to stand up for what is right, the wisdom to recognise our mistakes and the right judgement to make positive changes for the benefit of all.

A highlight was watching our Primary Two pupils confidently demonstrate the range of languages they already know. We were especially impressed by their use of our teanga dúchais. The impact of Scoil Spreagtha, our Irish lessons and the incidental use of Irish throughout our school is huge! Our Eco-Committee also took the opportunity to share the outcomes of our Uniform Recycling Scheme held in June, reminding us of the importance of working together to care for our environment.

Our students who have been recognised for going above and beyond in their classes were recognised with the Réaltaí na Seachtaine certificates being presented. True role models for us all!

We brought our assembly to a close with a hymn and by celebrating all of the birthdays in our school community.

Go raibh míle maith agaibh go léir!
