Primary 3 Explore Rostrevor’s Past
Primary 3 enjoyed a fantastic learning experience with Mrs Oonagh Cranley as part of the Rostrevor Conservation Area Project.
During the session, the children explored how Rostrevor has grown and changed over the last 200 years, comparing old maps, landmarks and historical features with the village they know today.
This visit was a lovely way to round off our ‘Houses and Homes’ topic, giving the children the chance to connect their classroom learning with real-life history right on their doorstep. Learning how houses in Rostrevor have evolved through the centuries highlighted the importance of caring for and protecting the unique character of their community.
A huge thank you to Mrs Cranley for bringing the past to life so well for our Primary 3 class.
