“Mol an Óige agus Tiocfaidh Sí” - Celebrating Faith, Responsibility and Honesty at Assembly

15th May 2026

This morning, we gathered together for another whole-school assembly.

Our Primary One children led us in a very special prayer service, giving thanks for the wonderful families who support, guide and care for us each day. They spoke and sang so confidently and reminded us all of the importance of love, kindness and saying thanks within our homes and school community. Maith sibh, a pháistí!

During assembly, we were also delighted to present our Gradam an Phríomhoide awards to three young men who have demonstrated our focus value of Responsibility exceptionally well throughout the month. They have consistently shown that responsibility means taking ownership of their actions, helping others, making good choices and always trying their best. We are incredibly proud of them.

As we now move into our next whole-school value, we will be focusing on Honesty.

Honesty means telling the truth, being trustworthy and doing what is right even when it might be difficult. It helps us build strong friendships, positive relationships and a school community where everyone feels safe, respected and valued.

In our school, honesty looks like:
• Being truthful and telling the truth, even when it may be difficult
• Owning our actions and learning from mistakes
• Being trustworthy and dependable
• Showing fairness in our learning and play
• Speaking with kindness and respect
• Doing the right thing, even when no one is watching

Our teachers then celebrated our Réalt na Seachtaine award winners, recognising pupils who continue to shine in so many different ways across school life.

As always, we finished our assembly with prayers, hymns and celebrations for our birthday pupils.
