On Friday evening, our boys’ and girls’ Gaelic football teams proudly represented St Bronagh’s in the All-County Finals of the FunFit Gaelic Football Tournament at St John’s GAC.
We are incredibly proud of all our young people, who demonstrated everything that is good about St Bronagh’s: commitment, hard work, resilience, determination, teamwork and sportsmanship. They were outstanding ambassadors for our school, their families and their club.
Commiserations to our girls, who were beaten by a very strong St Mary’s Newcastle team. The girls can hold their heads high after a fantastic tournament and should be very proud of all they have achieved.
A huge congratulations to our boys, who overcame St Mary’s Dunsford in a brilliant final. Their effort, attitude and determination were a credit to them all.
We would also like to say a big thank you to the many members of the Rostrevor community who travelled to St John’s to support our teams. Your encouragement from the sidelines meant so much to the children and helped create a very special atmosphere.
Both teams now look forward to competing in the upcoming Cumann na mBunscol Semi-Finals on 1st June.
