Final Assembly of the Year
On Friday we gathered for a very special and memorable final assembly of the year, led by our Primary 3 children. They reflected on the many positives from the school year gone by and offered prayers that we all return safely in September refreshed and ready for another exciting year of learning and that our Primary Seven's transition to their new schools with ease.
We then celebrated the achievements of our Pupils of the Week, recognising the hard work, kindness and perseverance of children across the school. Although a few of our award winners were absent their accomplishments were acknowledged by all.
Next we turned our attention to our Accelerated Reader (AR) stars. We congratulated our Word Millionaires and those pupils who reached their third AR target, a fantastic accomplishment that reflects their dedication to and love of reading.
A highlight of the assembly was the celebration of our Local League tradition. We recognised children who stood out for their skill, determination and teamwork on the pitch. Mr Murney presented the trophies and medals to our winning Boys’ and Girls’ teams. Well done to all who took part and showed great sportsmanship throughout the day.
Finally we paid special tribute to some of our Primary 7 leavers with our end of year awards:
