Assembly Focuses on Courage, Safety and Excellence
This week, we gathered for our eighth assembly of the school year, celebrating what makes our school such a special place. We reflected on how our success is built through the combined efforts of our dedicated staff, supportive families, local community organisations, and, most importantly, the hard work and character of our pupils.
Our assembly began with prayer, where we kept our Primary Seven pupils in our thoughts as they prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation next week.
A key focus of the assembly was pupil safety and wellbeing. Children were reminded of the trusted adults they can speak to if they have any worries, including our safeguarding team and members of the Board of Governors. We also introduced Worry Boxes in every classroom, ensuring all pupils have a safe and private way to share any concerns.
We celebrated our core value for March, Courage, recognising the many ways pupils demonstrate bravery in school, from trying new challenges to standing up for others. Congratulations to Ruairi, who received the Gradam an Phríomhoide for consistently showing courage and leadership within our school community.
Looking ahead, we introduced our next focus value, Excellence, encouraging everyone to take pride in their work, persevere through challenges and always strive to improve.
The assembly concluded with class awards, birthday celebrations and a reminder from our PATHS programme about the importance of seeking help from trusted people when needed.
Maith sibh a chairde!
